Hi guys, so this is a little bit of a different than what you may be used to me doing…..but I’m kind of at the end of my rope and I need some help. In typical Sarah fashion, when shit hits the fan, I mobilize, and I work. You may know that I am an Exclusive Black Status Presenter with Younique. What you may not know is that my husband is a disabled combat veteran, who was medically retired from the Army four years ago due to injuries sustained as a result of his time in service.

For the last eight years, I have watched him suffer silently from the effects of war, and while I provided him with every ounce of support I knew how to give, it has not been enough to lead him toward a path of peace. About four months ago, our romantic relationship ended and we separated. This has ignited a roller coaster of emotions and events over the course of our separation, which has resulted in us seeking professional help for warriors suffering from PTSD.

You see, when a warrior feels, they feel everything much more powerfully than you and I do. When someone who suffers from traumatic brain injuries and PTSD has to process these complicated emotions, their brains dont function the same as most people’s do. This leads to a much greater internal battle than you or I can possibly comprehend. The kind of battle that most find unbearable, the kind of battle that leaves us with catchphrases like “no more 22 a day".

This battle he is facing has lead me to advocating on behalf of our children, for his fight to recovery, his fight for life. In doing so, I discovered a treatment facility which specializes in healing a Warrior’s Heart. Even though our marriage may be over, my daughters deserve to have their father in their lives. And he deserves to have a life he is proud to live. It is for this reason that I am moving mountains to get him the professional help he needs.

His insurance will cover a large portion of the expenses for this, but we are still faced with an out of pocket cost of about $10,000 for 2 months of live in treatment. Unfortunately, I do not have this kind of money to give without putting grave financial strain on myself. I am not making this video to seek pity or charity, rather to ask for a chance to earn the money through an already established means to do so.

I am asking for you to replace one item in your cosmetic bag with a product from my website. I am *working* to earn the money I need to have in order to help him get to this facility, to better himself and his life for my daughters. In my business, when someone is pushing for a huge goal, we do what we call “mascara math” and we count down the amount of mascaras we need to sell to make this happen. For my goal, I need to sell 1,667 mascaras. Now, while that may sound like a lot, I believe there is power in numbers and I know that I can make this happen for him, and for my girls.

I am waiting to hear back as to whether or not it is possible to donate directly to the treatment facility in his name. Due to HIPPA laws, this may not be possible. *As an alternative, we have created this Go Fund Me account to help facilitate direct donations.

Thank you for helping me fight this battle for my family. I know that with the power of duplication, we can get him into the facility he deserves to be at, and I know that he is ready to receive the help I am pushing for him to receive. I know of survivors who have attended this retreat and have changed their lives. This money is a start for him to have a future with his daughters and for himself, and I am beyond grateful for your support.
