Operation Wallacea Expedition 2019

Donation protected
Operation Wallacea is a conservation research organisation that is funded by, and relies on, teams of student volunteers who join expeditions for the opportunity to work on real-world research programmes alongside academic researchers.
It is a network of academics from European and North American universities, who design and implement biodiversity and conservation management research expeditions in ecosystems all over the world. The data collected from these expeditions is then used in implementing effective strategies towards conserving the planet's most important ecosystems. Research is supported by students who join the programmes, follow as interns on expeditions, and raise money which goes towards supporting the cause.

In June of 2019 I will be travelling to the Cusuco National Park in Honduras, to complete a dissertation project focusing on the evolution of aposematic colouration and mimicry in coral snakes. The data I gather whilst out there will provide for my biological degree honours project, and I hope to graduate in 2020.
The total cost of the 6 week expedition, including travel and visa costs, comes to approximately £5000. As I'm sure you can imagine, this is a hefty sum for a poor student to cover alone, so I will be fundraising for my trip extensively over the coming months.
This is the opportunity of a lifetime for me, and I'd be hugely grateful for any small donation you can offer to help me get a step closer towards achieving my goal.
Thank you!
