Open Heart Surgery Day 10

Ashley and Chad Bills are dear friends of our family.  Ashley and Laura have been close friends since childhood and she is like family to us.   Ashley and Chad both work in the medical field in Chapin and Lexington. They have a beautiful red-headed daughter, Jenna Grace, who will be 2 in August.
 On Friday, June 21, a second daughter, Haley Mae was born at Lexington Hospital, filling their hearts with more love than they thought possible.   On Saturday she was taken by ambulance to MUSC (Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit) when LMC discovered Haley Mae had a significant heart defect.  Thankfully LMC caught it and gave her medication to keep her heart pumping blood to where her body needed it. After a week of testing at MUSC, doctors diagnosed a condition called an interrupted aortic arch and two holes in her heart called VSD and ASD.  Surgery was scheduled for July 1. The family is so thankful and blessed for the team of doctors and nurses who have provided indescribable care for Haley Mae.
The 8 hour open heart surgery  was successful and Haley Mae was moved to intensive care recovery where her family was finally able to see her.  Monday was Ashley and Chad's hardest and longest day of their life and they were  so thankful for the continued prayers and words of encouragement.  Haley Mae continues to improve and  achieve the doctor' s goals and has been labeled a fighter!
As you can imagine, the medical bills will be mounting for this sweet family.  There are so many of us who love this family and have asked how they can help.   So we thought a fundraiser to help with medical bills and other costs for Haley Mae's care would be a way to show our love and assist this family in a time of need.   Please donate whatever you can.  Anything and everything will be appreciated.
