Ones S. Funeral Fund - Farewell to a beautiful Dad

Donation protected

I really would like to knock on everyone’s hearts whose reading this page. Please take time to read, pray that may his soul rest in peace and help the Sacamay family bring Ones back home.

Like most of us migrants we move to Australia hoping for a better life. However, for this family it has been a very tough and challenging three years with the saddest, most devastating ending. A year after arriving in Spring 2016, their daughter Ella was found to have brain tumour. They scraped through with their meagre wages to pay for chemotherapy, continuous MRIs on top of Ones’ already high student fees and their family living necessities. Fast forward 3 years, Ones’ finally graduated from his studies Feb 2019 and hoped to give back to the community as a dedicated nurse having been offered for a position not more than a month ago.

Three weeks after moving to Geelong, VIC to start with his new-found job, he suffered severe pneumonia that wasn't medicated on time which led to heart failure causing his death last Sunday, 13/10/2019 . Perhaps this father thought it was a simple flu he could easily fight without having to pay hefty medical consultation fee as they’re not entitled to Medicare. How a kind-hearted soul who tried his hardest to provide for his family the best possible way he could, can be taken away too soon.

I am hoping that you can empathise with their plight and make a small donation to help mother and daughter with the funeral expenses and all other costs to move back to Philippines for good. This happened all too sudden with very little support in which I am hoping people in Australia and friends near and far can contribute to help fund funeral and flight expenses, and to give Ones' soul a peaceful resting knowing his precious Ella can still continue with her needed medical checks now that he is no longer with us. Most of all I ask, that you pray for his wife that may she be given the strength to endure this greatest test in life, not to hate nor be drowned in any form of guilt and sorrow, and for my friend to never lose faith in our Almighty.
