OLMC Missionaries 2016

Donation protected
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Missionaries formed in 2011 as a group of young adults volunteered to do a year of fundraising and faith formation in preparation for their 1st visit to the Mustard Seed Communities (orphanages) in Managua and Diriamba, Nicaragua. The 5th team of missionaries will be traveling back to Nicaragua in June, 2016.

In the past 4 years, through the generosity of OLMC parishioners, the missionaries have brought nearly 3 tons of donated supplies to the orphanages. The missionaries have also contributed over 1350 man-hours to help expand both sites by assisting the local workers with construction projects.

Without a doubt, the work is gratifying!  However, interacting with the children at each orphanage at the end of a long work day is the most rewarding part of the trip for these young adults. The experience has been life-changing!

OLMC Missionaries 2016 has 23 missionaries.  We  have been working hard to raise the $40,000 needed for travel expenses, room and board, and building materials once we arrive in Nicaragua. We are still in need of $3,000.  Our prayer is that many, many people will view this page and donate to this most worthy cause!
Please help us help these orphans.
