Olivia’s trip to Uganda with Edukid 2020

My name is Olivia Weston and I am studying A levels at Bideford College. In February 2020 I will be taking the opportunity to travel to Uganda as part of the charity Edukid.

Edukid is a charitable organization that helps children falling within six categories: former child soldiers; abductees; orphans; child-led families, those with HIV/AIDS and those living in chronic poverty. They provide primary, secondary and university education, enabling the most disadvantaged children to achieve their dreams and break out of their poverty. Some children go on to study the equivalent of our ‘A’ level, but most go on to vocational training. 
This opportunity enables students like me to improve the quality of life and the on going education for the children in Uganda. We aim to change as many children’s lives as possible so that they can go on to become who they want to become without struggle.
