Oliver "Ollie" Martin's Memorial

Donation protected
As you may know, Oliver "Ollie" Martin passed on Saturday, March 18th at 1:55am surrounded by his closest friends and family. Many of Ollie's friends from Cal State University Hayward/ East Bay, his brothers and sisters from Alpha Kappa Omega Inc. and Alpha Kappa Omicron, have created this campaign to assist the Martin family with the cost of medical bills, funeral and memorial service costs. Please make your donation no later than this Friday, March 24th. All funds will go directly to the family.

Oliver "Ollie" Martin, if you know the name then you knew the man. Words aren't enough to describe him. If I had to sum him up in one single word, that word would be: selfless. To each of us, he is a person who gave everything (and I mean everything) for ANYONE. He had no biases, no judgments, and always had a smile or a kind word to say... I am sure many of you have had some time to reflect on your relationship with Ollie and how he has impacted your life.

When you consider making this donation, I want you all to think about the last time you were hungry and Ollie gave you his last dollar to buy a meal. The last time you went to a party  or club and he made sure you left having had the night of your life. The last time you needed help and Ollie dropped everything to be there... and stayed for as long as you needed him. The last time you walked down a dark alley in SF and felt safe because Ollie was there watching your back. For me, it's the time Ollie gave his necklace (the silver wolf tooth he wore every wear, you know the one) to my, then, 4 year old son because he told him that he liked wolves. To me that was his most cherished jewelry, he even has it on in his Facebook profile pic. My son says it keeps him safe. I cannot disagree with the boy! So please think about what he gave you and return that gesture as much as you can. He needs us now, his family needs us now.
