Elemental Hip Hop Program

This curriculum is designed to establish and promote the four distinct elements of Hip Hop, the synergy between each one, and the values and concepts the culture manifests.
Participants of this program will be educated and exposed to the four elements in an introductory opportunity.

The three main overarching goals to be implemented are:
Provide a basic understanding of the history and early cultural influences of Hip Hop and its affect on modern day society. This will give a solid foundation on the culture as a whole as well as its compositions.
Develop a general respect for the four elements individually and in harmony by practice and knowledge. This will promote teamwork and community development, positive support of others, and respect for social and cultural differences.
Create and share personal and interpersonal concepts with each other. This emphasizes open-minded explorations, creative problem-solving, self-confidence and positive self-expression.

With the recent budget cuts in education and emphisis on staff reduction and after school programing. The Elemental Hip Hop Program is only possible through support from our community. Will you be a part of our community?
