Ohio Theatre Boiler Repair
Hello! It has been an exciting year at the Ohio Theatre and Event Center on Lagrange Street. We've worked with more volunteers and hosted more community events than ever before!
One month ago, we learned that our front room boiler is in urgent need of repairs, causing a halt in some theatre activities. The auditorium itself is warm and uses a separate unit replaced in 2013. However, the temperature of the lobby and restrooms directly impacts our ability to tour the space with rental clients and can be too cold to host our after school program for neighborhood youth.
As a result, we are asking for donations through this online campaign.
We want to thank all theatre-goers and generous donors for helping us put on great arts and cultural programs like, the Folk Festival, Spoken, and the upcoming Toledo International Film Festival.
Please consider giving today to help us warm the space and resume hosting community events! Thank you!

The preservation and operation of the Ohio Theatre and Event Center is stewarded by United North, a community development corporation in Toledo's Old North End. Since it's renovation and re-opening in 2013, the Ohio Theatre continues to host arts programming that engages residents and supports small businesses. Our mission is to promote revitalization in our community by providing a gathering space for arts and culture.
When the doors reopened in May 2013 our partners knew it would be an uphill battle. In addition to modernizing our mechanical systems to meet the interior's climate needs, we must also reinvent ourselves to provide programming and events that speak to the community now.
On behalf of United North and the Ohio Theatre committee, thank you for giving to support our Boiler Fund. Addressing challenges like this - together with the community - will facilitate the theater's growth and ensure its stability.
