Off Road Shakespeare Company needs you!

Access to brave and beautiful theatre productions that investigate and illuminate the human condition must not be determined or limited by income, zip code, housing status, education, or demographic. !

That is why, in the spring of 2017 ORS produced a remount of our roving MIDSUMMER as a whimsical (and stationary) romp that toured to a North Seattle Mary's Place transitional shelter for women and children experiencing homelessness.

MIDSUMMER On Tour  |  Mary's Place | May 2017

This winter Off Road has been partnering with Mary's Place Women & Family Shelters and the Compass Housing Alliance to create residencies that put Off Road artists and shelter residents in direct connection and relationship.

We have been on site in  shelters one night a week since early January to volunteer for each sites Kids Club, lead theatre games, and support the day to day operation of each site however we can!  We culminate each residency across all sites with a performance of Off Road's ROMEO & JULIET!

R&J On Tour | Compass Housing Alliance | March 2018

We have also partnered with the Seattle Public Library to offer three performances of R&J for any and all who are interested - and to give you a way to see how we're playing!  We are doing these performances in 3 different SPL branch locations throughout the Seattle Metro area.

R&J On Tour | University Branch Library | March 2018

We play our Shakespeare with all the lights on.  Immeadiate. Intimate. In the round (or square in this case...) and with live music. It's sticks and sheets (and ladders and tutus and rose petals) kind of play making and we do it well.

Any and all donations (of any and all amounts) support Off Road Shakespeare's mission to make brave and beautiful theatre that moves.

And to give it away for free.

We closed our On Location run of ROMEO & JULIET last weekend in Red Square.

What a wild beautiful sweaty ride. Thank you for all who could be a part of our work, in person or in support here!

We are now in the process of packing up costumes and props, processing all we discovered and experienced, and beginning to turn our attention to preparing for our winter tour.

More to come on tour locations and next steps there soon!

We could not do what we do without you.
Thank you for believing in our work.

Thanks thanks and ever thanks!
