In December 2016, an Orange County, Ca Police Officer was hit by a drunk driver while on duty. He was standing outside of his vehicle when he was struck by a vehicle travelling approximately 40 MPH. (At this time, the specifics and Officer's name are being withheld until all notifications are made).
"Officer S" suffered severe injuries as a result of the accident. At this time he is still in ICU.
He has a wife and two young children who will need assistance during his recovery process.
"Officer S" is a prior service Marine, who served two tours in Afghanistan as an MP and Infantryman.
Anything you can do to help is greatly appreciated. "Officer S" is a great guy, your donations are going to a great cause, and will fully be donated to his family. If anyone has any questions feel free to contact me.
This fund is not a tax deduction, and is in no way affiliated with the city Officer S works for. His agency has a tax deductible fund to assist him which is also taking donations. For further information, please contact his agency.
Yesterdays fundraiser was phenom. Thanks to everyone involved, and everyone who has pitched in. Again, special thanks to Doreen from AVAG, and Craig Schmelter, who exemplifies "Always Faithful".
Officer Muzayen (Officer S) has come a long way. Hes left ICU, and has been moved to the ER. He still is in a lot of pain, and is still having surgeries every few days or so, but hes being as positive as possible. Hes extremely flattered and thankful for all the support, as is his wife and family.
To everyone who has stepped up to help out, please accept a sincere thank you, and a Merry Christmas
If anyone is free on Tuesday, please review the attached flier. Free breakfast! Special thanks to Doreen and Craig Schmelter with the American Veterans Assistance Group for putting this together to help out. Cant thank you guys enough!
I just wanted to take a sec to thank everyone whos come forward and helped out. The support and generosity has been phenomenal and humbling to put it softly.
Some of you have knocked it out of the park, and believe me, we all know its not just a small gesture (even if you play it down like it is). I cant thank you enough.
Those of you who only had a few dollars to share, i want to let you know it means just as much. This isnt lip service. The fact total strangers are stopping by to leave something (along with some of you who have been way too generous), its not unnoticed that you put something here, which will affect you elsewhere.
Please by all means accept my thanks, and know that every donation, and comment means the world. I want to formerly apologize for not being able to write more than a simple generic response to you all, bit i can say that ive shed tears seeing all of this, and when Officer S comes around (gotta keep faith that he will) the fact what hes done in 25 years walking this earth touched so many who never met him is gonna blow him away.
Youre all amazing people, and im glad to know you all.
Officer S is a tough little dude, though (stress little). Hes a fighter and he'll get through this.
I just wanted to thank everyone who is helping out with this. Someone made a donation and said "every little bit counts", and shes absolutely right. Whether its $1 or one of the larger donations that has come through (and cant thank come of you enough), the message behind it is phenomenal, and I couldnt be more humbled and proud right now.
Thanks again for your help, thoughts and good spirits. Its going to a great cause. Everyone be safe and Happy Holidays
@tom rapport , you can google their phone number , rather than question the validity on here. I can attest to you the sincerity of this campaign as he is one of my best friends and a former marine veteran . He's currently fighting for his life and in a coma and so much worse as far as his current status that I will keep private at this time. He's also a father of two small children. If you need anymore information please take jawnis Py advice below-
Thanks for the kind words @aurora loya. @shay thompson, appreciate all the help you can give us, Devil!
Keep fighting & Get well soon! Also, Thx Nispy for creating this platform (which is easily verified with minimal effort thru go find me) so that we all can help this kind family. It's a great help for them, I'm sure.
To update previous info i posted (and was told is incorrect). Gofundme is considered a gift, and as such is not a tax deduction. Also, the City Officer S works for is not affiliated eith this account, and so I cant forward you to them to verify this fund. I can assure you its completely legit, his family is aware, and will have sole ownerships of the proceeds.
Thank you everybody! From the depths of my heart I want to thank every single one of you guys and your families. The incredible amount of support I received from all of you guys, The many people who wished me a quick recovery and Prayed for me and all my police and military friends who came to visit me and see me. I love you all, every single one of you guys. Please take my humble appreciation. You will always be in my heart. THANK YOU ALL!
