Ocean Reef Memorial for Michelle
Donation protected
On June 24th, 2018, my beloved wife, Michelle Gunning passed away, unexpectedly from a stroke, at the age of 42. Throughout our 17 years of marriage I witnessed Michelle live life to the fullest. She touched many people in positive and impactful ways through her adventurous spirit and passion for the great outdoors. A 1999 graduate of Savannah College of Art & Design, Michelle's dedication to art and nature was evidenced in her life through her skilled eye for photography and film, her work at EP+Co and Working Pictures, Inc, her participation in Fleet Feet running clubs and endless outdoor activities.
One evening several years ago, Michelle and I had a discussion about her final wishes and how she wanted to use her remains for a good purpose. She shared a program with me that uses the cremated remains of your body to create an artificial reef that is placed on the ocean floor to help restore and rehabilitate fragile marine life.
Please help me honor Michelle's life by fulfilling her wish. Funds collected will be used to create an artificial reef structure, decorated with a plaque in memory of Michelle.
More information about the reef restoration and memorial program can be found here.
