New York Statewide Rescue is a fast and free NY based search and rescue response team, available to help in any situation. From missing persons, to helping communities during disasters and crisis. We are here to assist any emergency, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Aiming to respond to calls as quickly as possible, saving many lives every year since our inception.
NYSR is independently run and comprised of a volunteer only rescue team. We serve New York City, Upstate New York and areas of New Jersey. That being said the team was dispatched to both Texas and Miami this past year during the disasters. Our objective and goal is to serve the greater community in times of crisis and need. We are committed to use all resources at our disposal to conduct search and rescue operations.
Our members go through extensive training to prepare themselves for all eventualities. Our team consists of scuba divers, a pilot, boat captain, EMTs, medics and First Responders. Additionally, our volunteers are hard working men and woman who have exemplified a passion for helping others in need. They are excellent at problem solving and using their training skills under intense pressure.
We are constantly trying to save lives, but our equipment and resources are in dire need of an upgrade. NYSR is in the process of purchasing a new Command Center costing upwards of $100,000 a new Response Vehicle costing $25,000, a new UTV costing $15,000 and new medical equipment that costs over $20,000. All in all this totals tWe need your help to save lives! Please help us reach our goal.
