The Pepper Foundation is an all volunteer 501 (c) 3 animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of senior and special needs animals from high kill shelters. Many of these animals are on their very last hour at the shelter and are about to be euthanized. Our first goal is to get each animal to a licensed veterinarian for exam, blood work, xrays, urine, and whatever is needed to assess what condition he/she is in. Our next goal is to place each animal in a loving home environment with one of our foster moms and dads.
Many of these animals come come to us severely neglected and sometimes abused. Our goal is always to make sure each animal we rescue gets the very best medical care and is in a loving home environment where they can thrive. While in foster care we pay all medical expenses , food and supplies. Our ultimate goal of course is to find loving forever homes.
There are times however that an animal comes to us at the end of their lives and will not be adopted. In that case that animal will remain in our Forever Foster Program where they will remain in one of our loving foster homes and we will pay all expenses for the rest of their lives.
We do find that with proper veterinary care and alot of TLC most of the animals we rescue will go on to live a good many more years.
In 2017 we took on so many medical dogs that we depleted our rescue funds which is why it is so important for us to raise funds in order to keep doing our life saving work.
All funds will be used for veterinary care, food, and medications for the animals in our care to help rehabilitate them and make sure each animal has the very best quality of life!
