Coco Vet Bills

Our wonderful dog Coco was stabbed in the head by a passerby when my teenage son was walking her our other dog Mafalda last night.  .  I rushed her to the VCA and they were able to take care of her.  Large deep cut into her head  and a fractured skull.  

The bill is a bit large - around 6,500 for now.   Original estimate was 8K as they thought she would need more surgery.  (it was 2,000 last night and 4,500 to release her today).

People called into the VCA with her account number and were very helpful but since I had to pay in full to bring her home, they won't take any donations now.  

Coco is my dog, and I accept full responsibility for her, her sister and my five wonderful children.  However, people are wanting to help and I have been directed to make this page.

Coco is home as of tonight; her prognosis is good, and we need to keep her constantly crated for 2 months while the skull heals.  

Thank you for reading;  no pressure, we are so lucky/blessed/etc in so many ways. 

(My son Santiago has a trauma background and was very affected by witnessing all of this;  however we have a wonderful therapy team helping him and he is an amazing young man).

(Neighbors saw, cops were called, even a helicopter came out.  Didn't catch the guy.)
