Fight for Jennifer

Jennifer Aikens is a strong 38 yr old mother, wife, and grandmother with a genetic heart disease called Marfan's Syndrome. On January 11th, 2017, Jennifer felt a sharp pain in her right shoulder and the pain got worse as the day went on. Buy 8:00 that night, Jennifer's pain became unbearable and she began to cough up blood. We discovered that the top part of her aorta had ruptured where she was very swiftly moved to UofM for and emergency open heart surgery. The doctor's informed us that she had another anuerism in the root of her aorta and it could not be fixed. She got through the 12 hour surgery with what we where told was a %25 chance of her making it through. She made it, but she now has many other issues she is facing including; pneumonia, her left lung is completely full and her right lung is beggining to fill. She has a lot of things to live for and means so much to so many people. She is an amazingly strong woman. If you could take a few minutes to help us pay for gas and food expences, and keeping up with our bills while we spend the last little bit of time we have left with her, that would mean the world to us.
