New Wave Dance Youth and Community Development, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation dedicated to providing innovative programming that enhances opportunities for youth throughout Brooklyn, New York, specifically targeting the East New York, Bushwick and Brownsville communities. Our primary services include a dance program for youth ages three to seventeen. New Wave Dance Youth and Community Development, Inc. provides dance instruction for African, Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Praise Dance, and Tap.
We plan to expand into other performing arts including music, acting and film. We aim to provide an outlet for youth to express themselves in a positive way. In addition, we intend to establish a resource center for youth and families in our community. We will help low-income individual’s secure gainful employment by offering resume workshops and interview preparation.
We strive to equip youth with the confidence, skills, and tools to succeed in all aspects of life. Our dance instructors will provide mentorship that youth can turn to during difficult times. New Wave Dance Youth and Community Development, Inc. is looking to secure funding of $20,000 for the renovation of a facility.
Securing this funding will benefit many disadvantaged youth and provide them with a safe environment for expressing themselves through the arts in a positive way.
