This poor girl was found living near a store by where I live. I talked to the employees and they she's been coming out for a couple weeks and they've been leaving some food out for her, it obviously wasn't enough or often enough. She is extremely malnourished and was covered in fleas and ticks so I took her in, I just couldn't leave her out in the cold and rain, I don't think she would have made it through the cold we're getting in the next few days. She's spent most of here time here sleeping, no doubt worn out from her rough life and being only a puppy but she is getting more energy. I've bathed her and put some flea and tick medicine on her but she still needs to be seen by a vet to check for heartworms and to check her foot as she doesn't like to put much weight on it. I've located a local, low-cost, non-profit vet through the local humane society. A visit will cost $150-165 and include vaccinations, deworming and heartworm tests, and spaying. There could be additional costs depending on any other needs. I'm inbetween jobs right now and can't afford the cost of a vet visit, dog food isn't a problem though. Please help Daisy, she deserves a good life.
