Norwich Swan Swimming Club has a long history , originally founded in 1880 on the site of the Swan Laundry in Norwich. The club provides the opportunity for everyone to be involved in the sport of swimming, from those starting out in our Learn to Swim programme, through to those trying to perfect their skills at a County, Regional or National level. Our goal is to ensure that every individual is given the pathway to fulfill their potential and that every success is celebrated.
The club is led by a professional team of Coaches and Teachers, but the club could not run without our volunteers and fundraisers, all who work together to provide a positive, family friendly team.
We have started this Go-Fund me campaign to support our Annual Sponsored Swim , which takes place on 12th April. Our Swimmers of all levels and abilities come together and swim distances between 25m and 10,000m to raise money for the club. As well as the traditional paper sponsor forms we have decided to try online fundraising too this year. We would like to raise £1,500!
The money which we collect will go towards essential equipment and special events and to subsidise activities for the swimmers throughout the year. The money provides the "extras" to reward and celebrate swimmers achievements.
If you are donating sponsorship money for a particular swimmer, you can add a note in the donations box so it is displayed on the page, should you wish to do so.
A huge THANK YOU to all the swimmers participating: Getting fit, earning their distance certificates, encouraging each other and raising money to support their club at the same time! All with a smile & probably a few snacks for energy!
