Nora's Biliary Atresia Journey

Our little warrior was born 8/6/18 with a rare liver disease, Biliary Atresia, which she will have her entire life. There is no cure. Babies born with Biliary Atresia will die before their 1st birthday, if they do not attempt the Kasai procedure, which is to restore bile flow from the liver, to the large intestine. Nora had her Kasai on 9/28, it was roughly a seven hour surgery. We don't know if it has worked yet or not. If it works, it will allow bile to start draining from her liver. If it doesn't work, the next step is a liver transplant. She will need a new liver in her lifetime, regardless if the Kasai works. We just dont know when, could be when shes 3 or 43.

We are humbly asking for monetary help, due to:
- Health insurance deductible rising.
- Nora is on 4 prescriptions, we do not have prescription coverage through our insurance.
- Days/weeks of missed income due to hospital stays & doctor appointments. 
-Our normal bills still roll in, we dont want to get behind and affect our credit. We have already discontinued DirecTV and switched cell phone providers to save money each month.
- Due to Nora's suppressed immune system and vulnerability to the flu and all germs, we had to hire a daycare provider to come to our house instead of sending her to our normal provider. Kennedy and Nora will both be cared for in our home, in an attempt to minimize germs. This alone has almost tripled our weekly daycare bill. 

We are not ones to ask for help, we usually refuse it. We are swallowing our pride, because we need to. Our life got turned upside down and its been a bumpy roller coaster since hearing the news. Some days are better than others, we often wonder why our sweet girl has to go through this but we trust in God.
