Brothers United Against DV Launch
We are a nonprofit male focused domestic violence prevention program where males are taking responsibility to end domestic violence! We are having the Brothers United Against Domestic Violence official launch of our organization on July 17th. The problem is the lack of funding for our agency's focus on prevention. The government allots millions of dollars in reactive programs and very little for proactive programs like ours. Ever dollar we've spent so far has come out of my pocket, and now I've lost my job last month and I'm doing this full time! My wife and I work out of our home with other volunteers and family support.
Our mission is to provide males with the tools, support, and skills necessary to be the best of what they were created to be without violence and abuse by taking responsibility, controlling anger, managing conflict, effective communication and understanding and using unconditional love.
Our vision is to retool the masculine culture as a remedy to and the prevention of male violence against other men, women, and children. We aim to provide support and training groups through out the country to create positive esteem-building language with measurable outcomes; thus creating a system that can be replicated anywhere with minimum or no cost to the attendees.
