Hello!
My name is Kim and I have created this GoFundMe on behalf of No Limits Diabetes Camp. I am a past camper and a current counselor. No Limits is an organization based out of Indiana that is committed to helping teenagers with diabetes make the journey to independence with their diabetes management. No Limits also strives to develop the mindset that even though diabetes is a part of you, diabetes does not control who you are or who you can become. Along with weekend activities through out the year, we hold a summer camp each summer for diabetic teenagers between 13 and 18. Happy Hollow Children's Camp in Nashville, IN currently hosts our summer program.
Due to qualification changes we are no longer eligible to obtain funding from our primary funder. In order to save all that No Limits does and stands for we are transitioning to alternative financial support. We are asking for financial support and are very grateful for any amount you feel you can contribute. For us, your contribution has far more impact than simply being financial support. I personally have been involved with diabetes camping for over 14 years. Going to camp when I was young showed me that I am not alone in my journey with type 1 diabetes. Camp opened up so many possibilities to me that I once believed was lost simply because I was diagnosed with diabetes. In addition, I gained a fantastic camp family that continuously supports me and is always there when I need to vent about diabetes. The best part? They can completely relate to me because they are on their own journey with diabetes. The impact of camp and the people I have met at camp is irreplaceable in my own journey with diabetes. Your donation has the power to provide those opportunities and experiences to other diabetic teenagers.
