Here is our story!
We were previously happy South Africans, living happy lives in the sun doing what normal people do, trying to run a company working hard and getting through day by day.
Things changed... my love for SA disappeared in exactly 2 hours 20min.
Lets just say that a country I once loved and grew up in, I didn't feel safe in anymore! Being a young female and being held up in your own home during the middle of broad daylight is not something I wish upon anyone.
After this incident I was longer happy, constantly looking over my shoulder, making sure everything was shut... Any noise would shake me up. Not being able to feel safe in your own home is horrible!
Change was needed!
Luckily my partner was British and it was then and there that we had to decide to make the change! We sold everything, got on a plane and tried to start over....never easy i might add!
Especially when you move in with the in laws, but grateful for a new beginning!
We just felt that something was missing, We are not fond of the the long British winter!
It is depressing and cold but.... it is safe! which is exactly what i needed. Unfortunately missing the ocean and the sun has hit us hard!
Starting to look around at different options and at how we could keep that love for the ocean alive
We decided to put everything into finding a yacht so we could fa full our passion for sailing meeting new and interesting people while also doing our part to help those in need.
We have come across a boat in our budget, but it needs some TLC.
My short term goal is to do up the boat, what’s needed to be done to get it back on the ocean.
We need all the help we can get to re do the rigging mast and sails to get our yacht back on the water.
I would humbly appreciate any help you could give.
