Who We Are
No Penn Union is a voluntary, independent team of Penn graduate students that are concerned about the efforts and goals of GET-UP/AFT/AFL-CIO’s unionization efforts. Our hope is that we can clear up any misinformation and address concerns that other graduate students have about the unionization attempt. We believe that unionization will lead to a severe and negative impact on our academic and scholarly pursuits.

Why We Need Help
GET-UP has the financial and logistical backing of the AFT, whereas we are currently paying for everything out of our own pockets. Penn's administration is legally unable to assist us, and in order to go up against the AFT we need help in getting our message out to the rest of the graduate schools at Penn. GET-UP refuses to state how much assistance they are receiving from the AFT, whereas we promise to be fully transparent in what funds we receive and how we use them. All receipts will be posted to our website and this page.
Our Budget
The current unionization timeline is unclear and we will update this information as the situation becomes more defined.
Hosting for Petition and Website: $80
Pizza for Public Meetings ($40 per meeting, two meetings per month for the next two months): $160
Facebook Ads/Promotions: $150
Miscellaneous Supplies (Paper for flyers, buttons, large posters, etc): $250
Ads in the Daily Pennsylvanian (Student Newspaper): $500
