No Filter No Makeup November

Through fundraising I have been able to set up the Elizabeth Murray McGuire Foundation, Sanitaion for Education. The foundation provides a classroom with facilities and resources for young girls to produce their own re-useable sanitary wear. Sewing machines, suitable fabric, thread, needles, waterproof material, Velcro, scissors and pattern blocks. When female students have access to sanitary wear it means they do not need to lose 4 days of schooling every month. Girls are guaranteed a meal when they attend school and above all their dignity is intact. I hope to be able to provide enough resources and maintenance to be able to facilitate a business model for young girls to be able to make sanitary wear and sell their products at market to generate a sustainable income. With my background in Textiles and my mums obsession with cleanliness and hygiene I couldn’t think of a better way to honour her memory. To raise funds to ensure the Elizabeth Murray McGuire Foundation is sustainable I have pledged to go makeup free for the month of November. Very much inspired by the MOVEMBER MOVEMENT, #nofilter, no makeup, November, 30 days, 30 selfless selfies will hopefully raise money for the girls I met in Malawi that deserve the right to access Education no matter what time of the month. #makeadifference #femaleempowerment Thank you all in advance for your donations and support it is very very very much appreciated!
