No Names & Empty Hearts
We're currently out on the road in the first week of our No Names & Empty Hearts Tour.
Around 11:30 pm last night while driving through Virginia we had a back tire on our trailer blow out. The whole wheel well came off and we had to careen through highway traffic while dragging our entire trailer. Luckily we have an incredibly experienced crew with us on this tour, and our driver Ryan was able to safley pull us over on the side of the road. We're happy to have our lives.
The trailer was absolutely mangled- wheel well destroyed and back axel warped. All gear inside appears to be undamaged which we are so thankful for. Trying to stop a huge vehicle towing thousands of pounds on a dime also did damage to our van - which is now undrivable - and has completely immobilized us.
This is the kind of stuff that can break spirits. Touring is full of extreme highs and lows and spikes stress levels insurmountably - events like last night make you want to crawl into bed and give up.
But we're not giving up. We absolutely love what we're doing - getting to meet you guys and share our music with you trumps anything that might happen to us. We are going to finish this tour strong and can't wait to play each show.
That being said, any support you feel inclined to contribute would be appreciated beyond words. We didn't want to set any of kind of donation goal as we couldn't even imagine asking any more of our incredible fans. All money collected from this will go to relieving the financial stress of getting our van and trailer fixed, as well as make sure our outstanding crew are recieving their well deserved dues.
This will not stop us. We love you guys more than anything and are so proud and estatic to be back out on the road again. Bad luck aside, we will pick ourselves up and get right back at it.
Any donation will recieve a thank you phone call from us immediatly, so please leave your number for us to be able to get ahold of you. We'll also be thinking of other ways to thank you for your generosity.
Thank you for allowing us to what we do. We tour to meet the people that make touring for us possible. Humbled doesn't even begin to describe how it feels to have the amount of love and support that you show us every day.
Late Nite Reading
Just wanted to say it's been amazing calling everyone and getting to thank each of you personally for donating. You all are so generous and it just makes me happy to hear your love and support.
To update you on the van- we were able to fix the immediate problem that occurred from the trailer blowing up. Parts keep failing and we have no idea how deep rooted the problem is after putting so much stress on it. We're hoping that it makes it the rest of the tour and will then immediately take it to a shop back home to see what's going on.
Any further donations would be extremely appreciated. We have no idea how much this is going to cost- and that's a scary thought. Like we've said before, we do not want to depend on your generosity so please do not feel obligated to donate. But it would be so, so appreciated.
Please leave your phone number with your donation if you would like. We'd love to call you and thank you personally.
So another update-
We were able to make patch repairs to the van after getting a uhaul trailer.
Last night while driving through Georgia, even more parts on the van failed. We were stranded in a parking lot for 6 hours with the trailer while the van was towed to a shop. We had to wait until the shop opened before even starting work on the van.
Our entire crew slept on the concrete in the parking lot in the humidity. It sucked a lot but will hopefully make a cool story one day, haha.
Any donation will help us recover from these repairs. Like we said before, please do not feel obligated to donate- we couldn't ask any more of you all.
We've started on phone calls- if you want, please leave your number and we'll personally call you to thank you.
Love you guys very much. Thank you again.
It's seriously wonderful to see the support and love that everyone showed us when we launched this campaign. Your generosity knows no bounds, and we can't thank you enough.
We have an off-day today and are still in Virginia waiting to hear back on the status of our van repairs. The trailer is also getting fixed. We play in Atlanta tomorrow- the mechanics working on our stuff are extremely nice and helping to make sure we get on the road in time to make the show. It'll be another late night drive, but we will get there.
Any further donations received will continue to go towards the repairs, as well as making sure our crew get a bonus at the end of the tour for taking such great care of us and working over-time to make sure these shows happen.
Thank you again for everything, I will keep you updated.
