NL Mens Rollerderby World cup

We are Team Netherlands.
A group of Rollerderby players from all around the country.

Roller derby is a contact sport played by two teams of five members roller skating in the same direction around a track. Game play consists of a series of short match ups (jams) in which both teams designate a jammer who scores points by lapping members of the opposing team.

The above is a basic description of the game.
However, this does not decribe how we feel about it.


Rollerderby is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Leagues are popping up everywhere. Ranging from America to Russia to Japan. Rollerderby is for everyone. It doesn't matter where you come from or where you are now. We accept everyone. Slap some wheels under your feet and go at it.

Last time there was a world championship our team participated. This year a world championship will be hosted in Canada, Calgary. The event will be held from July 21st - 24th.

This time we want to go again. Face off against the rest and the best of the world. And we need your help to do it.

All of the expenses for playing the sport we pay out of our own pockets. Rent for the halls, the travel costs. cost of the materials, Its a hefty sum.

So we are hoping you can help us get to Calgary.
Its been a long road so far and we hope you can help us with the last stretch. Every cent counts!

You can say alot about this lineup. We have great skaters, great blockers, great jammers, awesome hitters and amazing coaches, The list could go on and on. We are all in this together.
