I am really, really close to achieving my dream.
As you might know, I am a journalism student but my passion is videography. For years, all I've wanted to do is make videos. J-School seemed a great way to do that, and I really feel like I'm on the right path. I don't want to brag, but I am GOOD at shooting and editing. It's what I love and I think I'm on a path that will let me do it forever.
I’m almost there but man, I am out of money. I am thousands and thousands of dollars in debt. Every day I get new calls and emails from bill collectors: Internet, utilities, cell phone, car insurance, groceries. I barely have enough money to pay these bills and I don’t know what to do.
That’s not important – the important thing is that I need a camera.

I’ve been offered a job as a videographer. I am finally going to be able to do what I love and be paid for it; I get to make a living doing my PASSION. It's literally THE DREAM.
Here’s the problem: In April, I will no longer have access to the equipment at Sheridan College. Right now, this equipment is my only option. It's what I use for all my shoots. I have to book it out in advance and can never keep it for more than a few days at a time. In the spring, the Sheridan equipment room will close to me and I will be left without any way to fulfull my dreams. OH NO.
This camera is what I need in order to succeed. I am hoping that, with my birthday coming up, my family and supporters may be able to pool together and raise money so that I can purchase the best camera and lens possible with my (very) limited budget.
Whether you give $5 or $20, I will be indebted to anyone who is generous enough to help me out with this. Please donate instead of giving a birthday gift!
