Andrew needs a van!

On May 17, 2010 the Rosa family experienced a tragedy no one should ever have to endure. Jo Ann and Jimmy's oldest son Andrew was hit by a car. He suffered a tramatic brain injury. Andrew loved the outdoors. Going to the beach, riding his bike, snowboarding, and playing soccer. In a split second that all changed, Andrew is now confined to a wheelchair.
I first met Jo Ann and Jimmy when our boys were in 2nd grade. Don't ask me how it happen, but I became the cubs scout leaders of 10 amazing little boys. Jo Ann and I instantly became friends. My family and I were fairly new to Selden and Jo Ann immediately made us feel welcome. We became best friends and so did our kids and husbands.
Just saying Jimmy's name puts a smile on my face. Such a great guy, always helping someone out. Jimmy became John's best friend and Aunt Ronnie's boyfriend. When ever we needed anything we called Jimmy, and he was always there.
For the past 5 years the Rosas have experienced so much heartache, however looking at them you would never know. They are devoted to each other. Andrew lives home, because their family is not complete without him. Andrew is unable to leave his home, which means the family can never go out together, JoAnn or Jimmy are always with him. The only time Andrew leaves the house is for doctor appointments, which last all day. Andrew has to be transported by ambulance, it is extremely difficult and very stressful.
I am starting this campain to help my friends, the Rosas. A van would change their lives. It would enable them to bring Andrew to doctor appointments and physical therapy, to watch Alex play soccer, go to the beach, and to see Marissa graduate from high school.
