#Ninasfight Save or Shave

My cousin Nina passed away from cancer on August 8th, 2016. The months since have been some of the toughest for me and my family. I could write you a mini novel about how courageous and loved Nina was in her short time on this earth. Despite the continuous trials in her life, she never wavered in her positivity and commitment to others. It would be an incredible understatement to say that Nina was loved by those around her. She inspired; she was strong, and she was never afraid. The world needs more people like Nina Brumbaugh. She is in a better place now. Free of her pain and awaiting her friends and family with her caring and infectious smile.

I find it almost funny that I still look to her example every day to help me deal with the turmoil in my life. Even in death I look for her strength. I hear her saying: "take it one day at a time." Be the best version of yourself today because tomorrow is never promised.


This year, I will be rebooting my save or shave campaign from last year. Donate and include a comment on whether you want me to "SAVE" or "SHAVE" my beard. The category that raises the most funds will dictate what I do with my beard at the end of the CrossFit open season (end of March). 

All funds raised will go directly to my nephew Devon. My aunt has taken charge in caring for him so anything raised here will go directly to helping pay for his schooling,  sports, clothes, etc... 

**New this year, if I hit my fundraising goal then I will include my HAIR into the "save or shave" contest. That's right, you could be shaving my hair at the end of this!!**
