Nikki's Brain Surgery

Anyone who has known Nikki,  know that she has struggled with migraines for many years. Her migraines have reached a serious level to where extensive testing needed to done. During February of 2018,  after many tests and visits to multiple Neurologist's, Nikki was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation of the brain.  The Neurologist is requiring immediate surgery which is called Chiari Decompression. With this surgery they will be opening Nikki's skull, and removing inner bone matter off her skull to allow spacing for the surrounding fluid & cerebral canal to not be compromised. At the current time Nikki's cerebral canal on her right side of the brain is completely blocked, causing her brain tissue to deteriorate. To put things into perspective, we have found out, all it could take it ONE fall and Nikki could be paralyzed, and or symptoms could be life threatening. The Neurologist scheduled the surgery on May 17th at Palms West Hospital. Nikki does have Insurance, but due to the severity of the disorder and the specialists involved, a lot of the expenses ARE NOT covered by her insurance. The estimated recovery time is 6 weeks, and therefore she will also be out of work for that period of time while she's recovering . Any donations given will not only help with the extensive medical expenses, but also any time lost at work. We hope you will keep Nikki in your prayers during this scary and difficult time. She is a beautiful and strong woman, who rarely shows weakness, and still during this whole process is standing strong.  Not only is her family and friends on her side, but most importantly she has The Lord looking over her.
