Many people know and love my Aunt Nikki Coyne Brady, so it seems appropriate to share what is happening with her health at this time. Nikki was diagnosed with Polycythemia Vera nearly 18 years ago and this blood disease has now progressed to the beginning stages of Acute Leukemia called Myelodysplasia. Nik will begin chemo treatment and be scheduled for a bone marrow transplant once a match is found. She heads to Salt Lake City this Wednesday to begin the medical procedures. The transplant itself will require a stay of up to 2 months. The expense of all this is going to be significant so I’m creating this page to allow the opportunity for family and friends to help her through this difficult time. Nikki has always been so proud to be from Butte and this community is one of kind when it comes to taking care of their own. Please send up a prayer for Nikki as she begins this journey!
