My name is Jennifer and I want to introduce you to my wonderful son, Nicholas. He is an active and motivated sophomore at Memorial high school in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He has big hopes and dreams for his future.Nick needs your help to open Nick’s Dog Treats and Coffee Company, his very own shop where he will employ others like himself with disabilities along with the help of job coaches.Nick is a 16-year-old with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. He is very active in his school and community by participating in Special Olympics bowling, basketball, and track. He also attends PRIDE at UW Eau Claire. He also enjoys being in adaptive theater and art and also swimming at school. Every weekend, in the fall months you can find him at home or where ever we are watching the Green Bay Packers. Nick has always had a love for baking in the kitchen since he was very small and we started discussing what his work options were for the future. We decided on baking dog treats and his dream is to have his own shop. We founded his dog treat company in October 2018 and it’s called Nick’s Dog Treats. Our biggest goal for Nick and others with disabilities is to have this opened by 2020 so we can let kids from high school come and get job experience before they graduate high school and after they graduate they will have a place to come to work. Nicks shop will be an inclusive place for the community to come together. The money raised on this go fund me campaign will be combined with the profits from Nick’s Dog Treats website and will go towards securing a shop location, paying rent and salary for employees and other necessities to run and supply the shop. We would love to put a dent in the statistics of 80% of individuals with disabilities not having a job.“ Everyone deserves to work and make a Meaningful Contribution”

Yesterday Nick was awarded a “Dare To Dream” award by Race Car driver Andrew List for being brave enough to start his own business, what the business is all about and for helping animals and individuals in our community. Every dollar collected in our Go Fund Me page is going to help us open a dog treat and coffee company and to employ individuals with intellectual disabilities. We can not wait to meet this goal so we can help as many people as possible accomplish their dreams. “What is your dream!”
