I was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma of the uterus in 2010. Leiomyosarcoma is a rare type of cancer that affects muscle and tissue in your body.  I have had quite a few surgeries now and have also done numerous rounds of chemotherapy, as well as tried the naturpathic methods. After finding the cancer in my uterous, I under went surgery and had my appendix and uterus removed followed by 4 months of chemo,  6 months later the cancer moved to both of my lungs. I then again had surgery - the doctor removed 2 spots on my right lung and then removed 3/4 of my left lung. I did 8 more months of chemotherapy again. I had CT Scans every 3 months for one year and then CT Scans every 6 months and pet scans every 6 months as well. I was clear for a 2 year period but cancer came back in my right lung again. Surgery was the answer once again followed by CT Scans to monitor myself. Cancer spots were found in the right lung once again for the third time followed by surgery. I chose not to do any more chemo at that time just to live life to the fullest. Months later the cancer came back in my spleen which I then had another surgery to remove the whole organ. Thats when I turned to nathural pathic methods. Travelling hours away for treatment for over 1 &  1/2 years to find more cancer spots in the right lung again and now in what is left of my left lung. Stating chemotherapy again, I have been reseraching my kind of cancer for quiet some time now understanding  that it is so rare. I am a case on the Calgary Cancer Board in Calgary, and now Vancouver, to see if there is any treatments new that the doctors can find to help with my kind. I have found a clinic in Mexico that has treatment that will help me and I am now asking for help to raise the funds as it is so exspensive.  I am a mother of 3 and married to a great guy who has been there by my side every step of the way. We run our own business,  I keep positive and thank God everyday that I am still ere.
