Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my A Cappella Academy Gofundme page: My name is Nicholas Torres, I am 18 and I am a vocalist.

My Story: 
Ever since I took my first breathe as an infant, music has flowed through me. Music is an extremely big part of my life and has given me many opportunities. This opportunity in particular is one I believe very few people obtain. In December of 2016 I auditioned for A Cappella Academy ( a very competitive musical summer camp) and got accepted. I am one of 78 students selected from 588 auditions, which means my audition made the top 13%!

Throughout my life, music has always been there to catch me when I fall, lift me up when I am down, and remind me of who I am. Music has given me a voice when my own has been silenced. Sharing that voice with the world, and touching the hearts and souls of others, with that voice, is something I have dreamed of my entire life.  From the first moment I ever sang in front of anyone and felt the delight of sharing my gift, I knew singing would be my biggest passion.  


Having this opportunity as a young man transitioning into a young adult, would change my life in a multitude of ways. Having the ability to expand my knowledge in music and learn more about myself as a vocalist as well as work with other amazingly talented people, is a blessing. However, along with this opportunity comes an anticipated expense.


The tuition for this summer camp, is currently $1,995. This does not include airfare to the camp nor from as well as additional costs. With the responsibility of paying for multiple college tuitions, and international airfare expenses, my family would undergo a severe financial strain.

How you can help: 
It does not matter what is being donated whether it is ten dollars or 100 dollars, I would greatly appreciate it every little bit counts. If you were to give any of your time to helping me pay for the tuition and expenses in-between, I would be grateful beyond expression.
