Nica Scholarship Fund

We want to support education and more specifically the scholarship fund of San Juan del Sur Day School. An initiative that has always been close to my heart and one that has been of upmost importance to the Director of the school, Julie Speier, so much so that she has often subsidized these kids out of her own pocket.
I have taken this fundraising challenge on and will personally see to it that 100% of these funds go straight to paying the tuition and support of these deserving kids. I promise to provide updates and photos of the kids and their journey.
At the end of the day, how better to help than by educating the next generation to be global and mindful and compassionate? To grow up to be leaders that will lead with their hearts. That is what happens every day at this school. We want as many kids receiving THIS type of education as possible.
We are calling on a general donation of $60 per person (we will graciously receive more or less) and our aim is 300 donors which will cover our current students plus more that are on our waiting list. If we surpass our goal we will raise the number of kids we can serve.
If you are abundant in resources and can sponsor a child outright the cost per year:
2 mornings a week: $1,150.00 USD
3 mornings a week: $1,650.00 USD
5 mornings a week: $2,350.00 USD
5 Full days a week: $3,600.00 USD (1st grade and up)
we can choose an age of child that resonates with you and have a pen pal set up.
Don't forget about the Nicaraguan staff that count on this school for their living. The parents who will have smart, compassionate and bi-lingual children to help guide their families into the future.
Along with the scholarship program we will expand into service projects with the children. Projects of community outreach, beach cleanups, planting trees and whatever we and YOU can dream of, we can manifest it! This has already started and will continue to run through my yoga groups well into the future.
