Imani Nia Springer Coma Recovery
When 28 year old Imani Nia Springer was found in a coma two weeks ago, we turned to you for prayer. When we drove seven hours to be at her bedside, we thought we were going to lose her. The prognosis was not good. The doctors seemed resigned.
You gave us the gift of your most heartfelt well wishes. Her Godmother dropped everything to fly across the country to be at her bedside. She woke up. That was the first miracle. You were part of it.
Because she woke up, we know she has faith that she has not fulfilled her purpose in this planet. We are not afraid of the road to recovery. But, the road ahead is hard and long. There is so much work to do.
Your strength has made us stronger. We know you are with us on this journey. This time, we are turning to you for financial support. There will be Intensive Care Unit co-pay bills, rehabilitation facility bills, therapy bills, travel back and forth and extended stay bills to get her up on her feet.
We're inviting you to be part of the next miracle and the one after that. Keep us in your prayers. Share this link and invite your friends to our Miracle Circle. And please give any amount. Even one dollar helps.
Many blessings come to you.
She has transitioned out of the Acute Physical Rehab and into her next steps forward. She is slowly trying to rebuild her life. She is getting the assistance she needs.
You have truly been an amazing Miracle Circle. Over a month ago, I did not believe she would come so far so quickly. We hope the rest of the journey is slow and steady.
Thank you for everything you have done.
Every day, she demonstrates her ancestral heritage. Never, never, never tell a Springer woman you will deliver unto her less than she is due. She will not receive this well. She will, in fact, receive this so poorly, every fiber of her body and mind will snap into action.
She will do it for herself. She will savor the way the rightness of her well-being resonates with what she knows is the plan for her life.
The Insurance company and the Acute Rehab Facility's plan is not her plan. They still want to release her at 80% of her capacity. But, she knows you are here for her. She is doing her part. If they evaluate her as being close to 70%, she's puts in the extra work to get to 73%. She's closing that gap between 80% and 100%.
Thanks to so many of you, we are almost able to provide a buffer of one additional day. Just one more day with her personal dedication to recovery and access to the resources the facility provides will work wonders.
The next step will be continued out patient therapy. Little steps, like the ones she is taking, will bring us to our goal. Now is the time to consider a gift of 5 or 10 dollars. Something manageable. The way she is doing it. Little by little, minute by minute, always with faith that she can't help but get where she is going.
Peace. Grace. Clarity. Strength. Fortune. You have held them fiercely with us. We chose those five energies carefully. They work well with the truth of her name Imani Nia/ Faith Purpose. It is what is happening right now. Please be part of Miracle Circle.
What we hadn't shared previously is that she baselined twice during her coma. And still she rose. She woke up and came back fighting.
We are concerned that they still intend to release her in five days. They are able to provide a complete and full recovery. The insurance company, however, finds it acceptable to release her at 80% of functioning. That means at 28 years old, it is acceptable for her to require a walker, a shower chair and assistance dressing.
On someone's balance sheet, she is not a miracle; a girl who rose from the dead; a girl who has come back to live her name Faith & Purpose. She is a number. The difference between a shareholder's new boat or next golf round.
I have been a longtime supporter of healthcare reform. After living in the U.K., I have first hand experience watching how someone's complete return to health benefits all of society.
What benefit could be gained from giving a young woman 20% less than what they are capable? How does this make sense? It doesn't. It all comes down to the money.
We know the truth.
Tomorrow, Imani will be discharged from the hospital into an Acute Physical and Neurological Rehabilitation Program. The doctors believes that with the right therapy, she will make a complete and full recovery.
Her insurance is giving her seven days to make a complete and full recovery. (Grrr.) We have seven days to prepare for her re-entry. We can only hope that it will be enough.
But, none of us are scared about that. For a little over three weeks, now, we witnessed the way miracles unfold. If I knew then, what I know now ... well ... let's just say I am truly grateful your prayers and energy carried us this far.
In our society, money is a tangible form of love energy. Now, more than ever, we need your help.
Peace. Grace. Clarity. Strength. Fortune.
It is so uplifting to see the out pour of joyful gifts. The many hands, many hearts, and so many loving benefactors who wish to help Imani Nia are a true blessing. The individual greatness of these benefactors has SURELY eased the earth’s weight Imani Nia is feeling upon her, the incredible stress on her family and the heartache that has come with this tragedy. As Nia’s Godmother, I give endless gratitude to all those who have sent their love, prayers and generous donations in support of Nia’s fight to be here, her fight to heal, her fight for a chance to seek her place in this world! Each day that I am here, I will continue to tell her of your gifts of heart and the energy you are sending to help as she embarks on this long, difficult journey. I will tell her of all the people who believe in her bravery and that believe in her greatness. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
