Dollars for Derek

On March 6th of this year, our lives changed in the blink of an eye. Derek was riding his motorcycle home when a car suddenly pulled out in front of him. Derek had no time to stop, and crashed into the rear passenger side of this vehicle sending his body into the air and landing face first into the street. Derek suffered multiple fractures to his face, leg, knee, ankle, and his vertebrae. He also suffered from a traumatic brain injury. I was 6 months pregnant during this time, and sat by his side through 3 gut wrenching weeks in the hospital. Unfortunately the other driver only had minimum liability insurance, which barely touches the surface of what we owe and what we have lost. Derek is still recovering and going through therapy, and it’s difficult for him to work. I know our goal is outrageous, but any amount would help. Between over 300k in medical bills, time missed from work, and having a brand new baby, we need any amount of help we can get.
