Support the Blues in New Orleans

The New Orleans Blues Society presents the 3rd Annual New Orleans Cigar Box Guitar Festival, a celebration of the art, music, and history of handmade stringed instruments.  Covering 4 days and 3 venues, the festival is widely considered to be the world's premier CBG event.  Fourteen professional acts from 8 states and Australia will perform, and builders will gather to compare notes and compete for prizes. 

The phenomenal Samantha Fish leads the exciting slate of entertainers, along with Shane Speal & the Snakes, Blues legend Little Freddie King, April Mae & the June Bugs, Cash O'Riley, Steve Arvey, Ivor Simpson Kennedy, and numerous others.  

Ticket purchases are tax-deductible donations to the New Orleans Blues Society, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, supporting and promoting the Blues in the New Orleans area.  

Separate tickets are available for each day's activities and a 4-day pass affords attendees the total educational and entertainment experience, plus a festival t-shirt.  Visit neworleanscbg.com for more info.

·         Patrons who donate $30 will be able to attend any two days of the festival.
·         Patrons who donate $50 may attend all four days and will receive a festival t-shirt.
·         Donations of $80 or more will entitle patrons to attendance for all four days, a t-shirt and a one-year membership in the New Orleans Blues Society.

Funds raised by this campaign will be used by the Society to assist with production costs of the festival (venue rental, talent fees, advertising, etc.), and to help with their overall mission.

The significance of the New Orleans Cigar Box Festival is tied to the historical importance of homemade instruments to the origination of both the Jazz and Blues traditions.
