Anything You Can Do Works for Women

After a smashingly successful evening of song last night, 8.21, at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, a truly important and inspiring conversation began, off-stage...

"Where are the new leading roles for women? What has happened to the stories of women between the ages of 30-50? Why are we still stuck with the tired female-stereotypes of yesterday on such a progressive platform such as Broadway in 2018? Why the obvious lack of representation of women of color as a leading voice andwhere is the spotlight for leading-narratives from the LGBTQ community?

Let's keep these questions going.
Let's not be afraid to ask them.
Let's forget the rampant allergy people have towards women vocalizing their opinions...
Let's keep listening to each other.

My favorite comment about the concert came from the Father of a little girl, who was about 4-years-old, in the audience last night. He said, my daughter watched the entire (90-minute) show from the edge of her seat.

Let's leave the next generation of leading-ladies with a much larger repertoire of roles to choose from.

And THANK YOU to everyone who came out last night to support our fantastic composers and brilliant leading ladies! You are how we make this happen!

Stay tuned on this page for video from our concert and information on next year's event!
