New Lungs For Anani

Anani needs a new pair of lungs and for us, it is a sobering reality after a steady decline of his lungs and breathing capacity from polymyositis, an autoimmune disease, which led  to interstitial lung disease.

Anani has been a fighter, enduring  regimes of chemotherapy, surgeries, and steroids to combat the interloper in his lung cells.  After over 6 years of a gallant fight, Anani’s lungs are mostly incapable of supplying his oxygen and an oxygen tank has been his constant companion in his labored exertion to breath.
 
Now Anani need  new lungs and his doctors at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio have placed him on a waiting list for a lung transplant. We are thankful for progressive lung transplant medical research and hopeful that a transplant will prolong Anani’s life. We also realize the financial expenses Anani’s family must shoulder for his transplant.

Like other patients waiting for a compatible donor, Anani must be quickly flown from his home in Atlanta, Georgia to the hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, when a blessed lung donation is made. Additionally, in Ohio, after surgery, help is needed to cover the cost of hotel lodging and other medical expenses for his time in the hospital.  Once out of the hospital, Anani and Angela will need an additional 5 months of hotel accommodations during his outpatient treatment.

 
Anani’s family and friends seek to raise $20,000 for these expenses related to his lung transplant. We pray that in due season with his new lungs, Anani will be able to see his kids finish high school and go on to college. We pray that he will be able to carry his grandkids and that God willing, his quality of life will improve.
