Here's His Story.

Hi, I'm Troy's partner
The reason I am starting this Campaign is because Troy had to sell his Camera and lenses when his father was diagnosed with Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer. He was diagnosed with the disease and within 3 months he lost his courageous fight. On top of losing his dad he had recently found out that he broke his back (which has now "healed") but he is now suffering from constant nerve pain. This makes it hard for him to do regular day to day jobs
Troy made this small yet huge sacrifice so he could have the funds to travel back and forth to be with his dad . As well he wanted to assist his mother in the purchase of medical supplies. Selling his camera didn't even begin to cover the amount of bills they've incurred from this experience.
I've taken an exerpt out of his Instagram page so we can see in his words what he had to face.
"So been well over a year since I last posted anything; or even logged in here. Been a rough "vacation" since I was last here. Found out I broke my back and as I was dealing with that... We found out my father had terminal Cancer.
So I had to sell all my camera gear. That combined with my general mood at the time had me not taking many photos.
I did take some of course.. I still have an old first run G series Canon. At any rate hopefully down the road I will acquire the funds for another camera.
I would have robbed banks if that was what it took at the time; so the camera meant little."
Lately, he started taking pictures again which has brought a spark back into his soul but he feels that he can't do what he use to do without proper gear and a computer to edit his photos. It breaks my heart that he had to sell all his equipment. It would mean the world to me if he can pursue this goal to be a photographer.
The goal amount is so that he can purchase his camera, lenses ,computer as well as some prints. He would like the opportunity to make some prints and offer them to different organizations or go to different art shows, but he's never had the funds to make that a possibility.
