New beginnings fund for Tim

My friend Tim is a Registered Nurse who finally got a job offer for the position he's always wanted, in the Emergency Department at a Hospital in Nevada. He currently lives in California and found a place to live close to his new job in Nevada. Unfortunately it turned out to be a scam, but he didn't find out until he had already paid $1800 for first months rent and security department. Tim used all the money he had to secure the house so he has nothing left to find a new place. In the most recent months prior to this Tim was in the hospital and couldn't work, causing him to file for bankruptcy. Then his car was repossessed, he had to put his cat Charlie down, rehome his dog and say goodbye to a colleague who passed away unexpected.
He has to be out of his current apartment by the end of January 2019 but has no place to go and no means to get a place. He has already given notice to his current job and his last shift will be January 18, 2019 because his new job starts January 28, 2019. We are asking for help to replenish what money was stolen from him by the scam artist so he may find housing and be able to begin the job of his dreams.
