New bed for my friend Melissa

Hello, fine people. My friend Melissa is in need of a new bed. She’s wonderful, and due to circumstances beyond her control, could use some help meeting this need. For privacy reasons, she wished that the fundraiser wouldn’t use her full name. All funds will go directly to her.
The goal we’ve set is a stretch goal - any amount raised would be immensely helpful.
From Melissa herself:
“I’ve had a sudden onset spinal problem since 2015. It can cause pain in my back and all the way down into my left foot. Due to some delays in diagnosis and treatment, I have been left unable to work anything even approaching a regular schedule, let alone a full day. Luckily, my last job had a long term disability insurance program, so I have not been left completely cut off, but it's been a challenge. I recently won my disability case, and have been granted social security disability and medicare, for which I am grateful. The money is very tight though.
After 2 surgeries, this is probably as good as it gets in terms of healing. I deal with pain daily, though the amount can be variable. My bed is 11 or 12 years old, and is in bad shape. I believe that a new bed, most especially a new mattress, would be extremely helpful in making my life better. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in getting better sleep, and waking up with less pain every day. I believe that better and less painful sleep would help me immensely. If you donate, you would be taking an active part in making my life immeasurably better.
