A wife of a former Green Beret Special Forces veteran reached out to our organization, Healing Arizona Veterans recently. Her husband suffers from at least two combat related traumatic brain injuries and now has multiple symptoms from his TBI condition. He can no longer drive, is having serious cognitive problems, vision problems and other such debilitating symptoms. After three years seeking treatments at his VA hospital his condition has not improved and he does not want to do the drug cocktail programs they offer.
His wife, Christina found out from other veterans aware of our successful hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments and reached out to us for help. We were able to get a funding commitment for this veteran with our friends, America Mighty Warriors, so his treatments will be free. The family must come to Tucson for his HBOT treatments with us. Unfortunately the family of five, presently live in Kingman, AZ and will need housing when they can come to Tucson.
The family consists of the veteran, his wife, and children, lily age 9, Paul age11 and the new baby Brac is now 8 weeks old. They are presently getting by on the veteran’s disability check so do not have the funds to rent lodging when coming to Tucson or to cover all incidental expenses occurred while in Tucson.
As soon as funding is available, the family will head to Tucson within a day or two, so the veteran can begin treatments right away.
By us healing the veteran we also heal the whole family since the father of three at present does not even have the capacity to make pancakes for his children which was his favorite activity and must rely on his wife as his caretaker.
The head of this beautiful family was a member of the Elite Green Beret Special forces unit and the sacrifices he has made for our country deserves us to help him and his family during his period of treatment and recovery.
I consider any member of the Special Forces to be a true American Hero. This veteran can no longer ride his bike or run or read a book or write in his journal and has failing vision, and endures lots of constant pain and many of the terrible symptoms accompanying a traumatic brain injury.
Our Medical Director, a neurologist, that will be treating our veteran has extensive experience with Hyperbaric oxygen therapy and a long history of success in helping veterans with a TBI condition to greatly improve their quality of life. Healing Arizona Veterans is in constant communications with some of the top authorities in the world in the HBOT field and know the positive outcomes we experince. Recently Joe Namath has shown the world the effects HBOT has done for his brain and the treatment also been endorsed by the famous motivational speaker Tony Robbins recently.
