Fund for chest reconstruction

Donation protected
About seven months ago I came out publically as transgender. In that time period I achieved so much, I began to feel comfortable in my own skin. It’s amazing what a hair cut, changed name and pronouns and new clothes can do for a person.

But I’m embarking into the next stages of my transition. On my eighteenth birthday July the 4th I start testosterone. Then hopefully by December I will have raised enough money to undergo chest reconstruction surgery.

The surgery is critical for me to get as I struggle daily with dysphoria. For those who don’t know dysphoria is a terrible feeling of unhappiness towards my body. My dysphoria spirals from my feminine features such as my hips, voice and chest. Chest surgery is critical for me as it is a daily struggle to leave my house, to leave I must bind my chest which causes me a lot of pain sometimes and comes with many medical risks.  My chest creates many restrictions for me in my daily life, I cannot swim in the summer with my friends, nor wear singlets and I must be very selective of the shirts that I wear.

I will be starting university next February, for me to have surgery by then would be amazing and end many of the struggles I am currently facing. Not only that but I would feel more comfortable in my skin and reduce my dysphoria significantly.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated as I only have a single mum and two other siblings, one that has autism that requires speech therapy, which can be very costly for a small family.
