Nedzweckas' Disaster Relief

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Jennifer. My brother Tim and I have been contacted by several friends and family wanting to help our parents, Paul and Cindy, during this difficult time. I hope this page will provide those who wish to help a means to do so. Our mother and father have lost everything in the Missouri flood of April 2017. Dad is a 20-year retired Army Ranger from the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. They currently only live off of his pension and are in need of assistance.  Their home was built in the early 1900’s, and in their 28 years of living on the property, floodwaters have never entered the house; this was not the case this year. According to flood records dating back to 1942, the highest the local river rose was 24.5 feet in 1982. This year, the water level broke records by reaching 32+ feet (estimate). Water went from normal flood levels at 10 AM, where they were out of harms way, to being in chest-deep water by 1 PM. Floodwaters almost reached the ceiling inside the house, and a great cleanup effort is needed. Their home will need to be gutted, and for their health and safety, professional flood cleanup and restoration will need to take place. Any help would be greatly appreciated, including physical help cleaning in the days to come. I will be depositing all donations directly to my parents bank account so they are able to use funds in order of priority. Thank you in advance.
Before nightfall. Water was still rising.
