NBT is approaching its 20th Anniversary this year and certainly it is time to take a breath and give both notice and thanks to the countless number of artists, staff, volunteers and patrons who have made this journey, now more exciting than ever,  possible.  We are very proud to have brought culture through the art of ballet to this community and the audiences we serve.  It is also our great honor to continue to support the dancers, artists and their families who have benefitted from NBT's productions and programs.

Plans for a grand event this year is now being planned and we want to keep everyone up to date with that as well as  our upcoming productions which we hope you will enjoy. Charitable donations in any amount are greatly appreciated and go directly to supporting our work to bring high quality professional level productions that can be seen at venues like Mount Baker Theatre, McIntyre Hall and Firehouse Performing Arts Center.

We do need support or we would not be asking. Without beauty and art what is life? That is why our vision has always been clear and why we will always endeavor to do more.

I hope you either have or will be getting your tickets to 'Celtic Legend' soon. This is going to be an unbelievably inspiring production. And you don't even have to have an ounce of Irish blood to totally enjoy what our dear Hailey Forsberg is creating for us!
Here is a short synopsis of the ballet so you know a little about what to expect as well as who is in the cast.
The Story of Celtic Legend

Celtic Legend follows the young fairy goddess Brigid and her friends, who live under the shelter of a magnificent spreading oak tree, inhabited by an ancient spirit called Duir. Celebrations for the start of spring are underway, until Morrigan, the goddess of death storms in seeking to destroy the fairies. Brigid and her friends fight Morrigan but she strikes Duir with a bolt of lightning, enough to kill the ancient spirit. Without its life force, the tree and the fairies will not survive. Brigid sets out to find a new spirit for the oak tree and save her forest home.
