North Bay Rebels Cooperstown 2018

$1,475 of $7,500 goal

Raised by 21 people in 6 months
Calling all family, friends, and youth baseball fans! The North Bay Rebels are a 12U travel baseball team based out of Vallejo, Benicia and American Canyon, CA. This year, the team has an amazing opportunity to travel to Cooperstown, NY to play in the “Cooperstown All Star Village” baseball tournament in June. The tournament includes fifty of the top 12U baseball teams from across the country and around the world.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and will be an unforgettable experience for this team, and we need your help to get them there! The team is asking for donations to go towards their travel and tournament fees.

The Rebels are extremely competitive on the field. In 2017, the team went 29-30-3. During the tournament season,  the boys made it to 4 quarter finals, 4 semi-finals and 5 championship games, winning 2 championships. The team started their 12U season in August ranked 18th out of 298 AA teams in California, and 91st out of 2,314 AA teams in the United States.

This is a great group of boys with an amazing amount of heart and so much such passion for the game of baseball. They have worked very hard to get this Cooperstown opportunity and they excited to play together in this incredible summer tradition. They can't wait to meet new friends from all over the country that share their love of baseball.

Any donation helps get this team closer to their goal and is so appreciated!

For updates on their journey to Cooperstown, and to see what the team is up to this spring, visit the North Bay Rebels Facebook page or the team website.

Thank you so much for your support!

Meet Jaylen R #00. Jaylen is called either “JayRo” or “Little Cueto”, He got the little Cueto nickname by an ump who said he reminded him of MLB pitcher Johnny Cueto.

JayRo was born and raised in Vallejo and has been playing baseball for 9 years! He started at 3 with cubby baseball and did that for 2 years. At 5 he went to East Vallejo Little League and played 1 game in T ball and was immediately bumped up to Rookie status. He has also played for the Toro’s Travel Team and this is his 3rd season with the Rebels.

JayRo is a total utility player, and usually plays 4-5 different positions a game, including SS, Catcher, 2b, CF and RF. He is also one of the main pitchers for the Rebels.

Any free time he has is for playing Fortnite his favorite game or practicing baseball or shooting hoops in the backyard. He also loves to sleep in really late.

JayRo has three goals this season are 1) To get in less pickles, 2) Be a better defensive player and 3) Be more positive at all times.

The reason Jaylen is really excited about going to Cooperstown is “to hang out with my teammates and bond, meet new players from around the country and adding another state to my check off list of visited states”
