Nikera Jackson is a 13 year old young lady born with a disease called Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) from Cambridge, Maryland. This is a disease where tumors can grow within your body unpredicted anywhere at anytime. These tumors, which usually develop in adolescence or adulthood, are called malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors. People with neurofibromatosis type 1 also have an increased risk of developing other cancers, including brain tumors and cancer of blood-forming tissue (leukemia).
Doctors have found that Nikera has a cancerous tumor growth within her blatter and pelvic area that has also spread to her back area. Chemotherapy has started and surgery has been scheduled real soon. After the surgery procedure is performed Nikera will go through the radiation process.
Based on Nikera's sickness she can't indulge in sports or many other active activities. But this doesn't stop Nikera from being a fun loving and high spirted young lady. She loves to cook and practice arts and crafts. She's a true definition of a fighter.
I would like to ask you to help her along the way with winning this fight against cancer. The procedures to this process are very costly and many out of pocket expensives are being requested.
